Technics RS-10A02 Reel To Reel - R&B Series - Recording & Broadcast - SUPER RARE

This is an incredibly rare "R&B Series"" variant of the legendary RS-1500.

R&B meaning Recording and Broadcast - or - Radio and Broadcast depending on what you've read from Technics documentation available from that time.

We investigated and looked in all the usual places and only ever saw ONE other example up for sale which is listed for well over $30k!  

In addition to all the features of the RS-1500, it has front panel adjustments for playback/record EQ, level and bias, PB EQ selectable between NAB and IEC, test tone for 1khz and 10khz, and adjustment for mic and meter sensitivity.

It also has upgraded metal push buttons, likely to resist the rigors of studio work.

The head block is labeled RP-2220SX.

On the back you'll find both RCA and Balanced connections - also a studio feature.

This piece is fully working as it should in both playback and record modes from testing in our shop.  We played a Bob Dylan album more times than we thought possible based on the amazingly spacious and dynamic sound this player produced.

This listing includes the main unit, two hub adapters, a single Technics branded take up reel, and yes the actual original BOX!
