Luxman L-580 Integrated Amplifier and T-400 Tuner
I typically don’t bundle equipment together but this one just makes good sense. The tuner and integrated were designed to go together and cosmetically they are a perfect match.
This is one of the best looking retro combos from this period.
The LED VU meters are super cool and work perfectly. I read online that this unit shares the same output transistors as the famed Pioneer SX-1280 & SX-1980!
The cabinets have a few scuffs here and there but the faceplates are perfect and so are the knobs, so the system looks really presentable and clean.
Tuner has a pretty unique LED tuning status system that blinks the lights until you lock on the station properly. I’ve never seen this before but it’s pretty clever and I’m surprised nobody has copied it.
The glass on the tuner is near mint and the backlighting is bright and perfect. It’s able to tune distant stations and lock onto the stereo mode without issue.
The amplifier was tested to its full power rating and all internal components were checked for leakage or issues. It passed with flying colors!
All pots and switches were serviced and are noise free and perfect.
