This highly acclaimed all-tube preamp from AI won all sorts of awards during the late 90's, a time when many manufacturers were concentrating on making solid state units.

AI kept evolving the Modulus, much like Porsche kept evolving the 911, and this is the 4th iteration of the 2nd generation.  While it doesn't have the stepped attenuators of the later models, which I find to be annoying in operation, it has all the right tubes and parts quality you'd expect.  Heck it's even wired internally using Kimber Kable, a practice we've adopted in many of our in-house builds.  

Design features include unique left/right individual volume controls which double as balance controls, a high/low input phono section for connecting your table, super high quality gold plated RCA jacks, and incredible component quality selection found in preamps 3x this price.  

This particular unit is in extremely good shape with no noticeable scratches or signs of use.  While in our lab it passed all tests with flying colors and is likely to keep working diligently for another 30 years.
