The Thorens Disc Contact Vacuum Record Clamp System creates a perfect seal between the record surface and the platter by using a specialized mat and record puck.

Using this system minimizes vibrations and resonance that can interfere with playback. It also helps the stylus track the grooves on your vinyl records more precisely.

Included is  everything needed to use: Pump, Platter, and 45 Adapter.

By employing reduced air pressure, the clamp presses the record firmly onto the turntable mat.

Distortion and tonal colourations are thereby effectively prevented, especially with thin or warped records.

The advantage of the technique employed is that the platter bearing and spindle are not subjected to reduced air pressure during record play.

Therefore, vacuum seals which could impair rumble and wow and flutter performance are not required.
