Inside this sealed box is an original Technics SL-1200MK2 in true new old stock condition. Finding a clean SL-1200MK2 today is already becoming difficult, but finding one that has remained factory sealed and unopened since new is exceptionally rare.

This particular turntable was manufactured in October 1988, making it an earlier example from the model’s long production run between 1979 and 2010.

The SL-1200MK2 is one of the most important turntables ever produced. Its rugged direct-drive design, speed stability, and reliability helped shape DJ culture and played a major role in the development of entire genres of music. Decades later, many audiophiles, collectors, and professional DJs still rely on the SL-1200MK2 both at home and in professional environments.

This particular SL-1200 will come with a brand new Ortofon 2M Black LVB 250  MM phono cartridge($1149). This will be calibrated using our in house 12-step calibration process ($390). Contact us upon purchase for more cartridge options.
