The HD 800 are Sennheiser's reference level, top of the range open back Headphones. They offer the best that Sennheiser has to offer in technology and design. A new pair of HD 800's costs a whopping $2,000. 

At the heart of the HD 800 is Sennheiser’s proprietary 56mm ring radiator driver, angled within the earcups to better mimic the way we hear speakers in a room. This design results in an incredibly wide and precise soundstage, and channel separation.

Another strongpoint of the HD 800 is its incredible comfort. This was clearly an important part of the HD 800's design and Sennheiser put a lot of time into this. The moment you put these headphones on they disappear on the head thanks to their lightweight and comfortable construction + comfortable ear cups.

In testing we were really impressed by the detail and clarity of the HD 800 and it is perfect for the deserting listener.

Included with the headphones will be two pairs of cables, one balanced and one unbalanced. The pictured and included genuine Sennheiser replacement earpads were purchased new from Sennheiser for $125 in August of 2025. They have little if any wear or signs of use.
