High-performance deck from Nakamichi that was the smaller brother to the 1000ZXL, yet used much of the same design and technology.
Sold in 1981 for a whopping $3000 with a very low two year production run. That's around $8900 when adjusted for inflation in today's dollars!
This is also a complete collector set including the original Nakamichi box and manual!
3 discrete heads and off-tape monitoring, belt driven dual-capstan transport, digital tape counter with 4 digits and memory stop, manual tape type selection, and capable of handling normal, chrome and metal tapes.
This deck underwent a fresh in-house mechanical restoration, where it received all new rubber, and a thorough cleaning AND correct calibration.
