This is a pair of Super Rare line array speakers from McIntosh, capable of driving a large room with impactful bass and delicate highs.

Each speaker consists of 30 midrange drivers and 25 tweeters!!

Line array speakers are great at throwing the sound long distances without overwhelming the listener closer to the speaker. Great for a large room or a combined listening area such as a familiy room that spils into the kitchen.

Because of the cabinet design, these can be also be placed close to your walls without adverse effects. You could even remove the bases and attach them to the wall.

In very good condition with no significant signs of wear. Every driver has been tested and is working properly.

These will ship on a pallet to anywhere within the Lower 48 US States for a flat $800.

Designed for discerning listeners, the XRT29 Loudspeaker System delivers performance without compromise in virtually any listening environment. The shallow depth of the extruded aluminum column housing provides great flexibility in placement choices without sacrificing musical integrity. Optional self-supporting pedestals or structural in-wall installation kits are available in addition to the standard on-wall mounts.

Each XRT29 contains 30 – 4" extended excursion mid-range drivers and 25 – 1" soft-dome tweeters all arranged in three parallel columns. The design of the three parallel columns of speakers in each XRT29 results in a symmetrical horizontal polar response for superior imaging, limits early floor and ceiling reflections and provides unequalled
power handling capability.

HOME THEATER AND MORE

Many of today’s speakers are designed only for home theater. Not so with the XRT29 Loudspeaker System, designed also for the flawless reproduction of music.

While the explosions, screams and crashes so common in today’s movies require wide dynamic range and high sound pressure levels, they are so masked with noise that even a speaker with moderate distortion can reproduce them with little audible distinction.

Music, however, while sometimes dynamic is always harmonious. Accurate reproduction of music demands the lowest levels of both harmonic and intermodulation distortion.

Each driver and crossover component has been carefully designed for low distortion to ensure that the system is able to reproduce all sounds accurately, from bombastic movie effects to the delicate nuances and detail in music.
