Martin Logan Montis - Electrostatic Speakers w/Integrated Bass Drivers, Black Finish
These excellent Montis series speakers were originally introduced not long ago in 2011. Great imaging and resolution particularly with jazz and acoustic music.
Tested in our lab and listening room and working as they should throughout.
Both are in overall good physical condition, but note there is a single missing adjustment knob on the rear of one speaker controlling the integrated sub. We will replace prior to shipping.
Flat-rate freight shipping $500 anywhere within the lower 48 US states.

Able to reveal every subtle nuance of recorded sound with unflinching accuracy, Montis' ultra-rigid AirFrame, CLS™ XStat transducer and 24-bit Vojtko DSP engine deliver performance with magical precision and dynamics. Housed within an ultra-rigid, extruded aluminum composite AirFrame™, Montis' CLS (Curvilinear Line Source) XStat™ transducer builds upon MartinLogan's nearly 30-year legacy of providing the highest quality electrostatic products. Advanced MicroPerf stator technology gives the latest-generation CLS electrostatic transducer almost twice as much exposed diaphragm surface, translating into higher efficiency and an effortless and unlimited dynamic presentation. The XStat pulls no punches. Montis uses an extremely precise 24-bit Vojtko™ DSP engine in conjunction with a powerful 200-watt class-D amplifier to deliver a stunningly detailed low-frequency performance reaching down to 29Hz—uncommon in cabinets this compact. Additionally, integrated low-frequency equalization below 100Hz further enhances bass performance by allowing precise tailoring to adjust for individual room acoustics.
MartinLogan Montis loudspeaker - Stereophile Review:
"If ever there was a model to break down the negative stereotypes of electrostatic loudspeakers, it must be the MartinLogan Montis. With a small footprint, and taking up only a modest amount of visual space in the room, the Montis can be driven effectively by solid-state or tubed amplifier... has very good bass extension (courtesy of its hybrid design), can be played quite loudly, and doesn't require you to listen with your head locked in a virtual vise. In the right system and with the right recordings, a pair of Montises can aurally transport you to the concert hall, or the musicians to your room. " - Robert Deutsch, Stereophile
