Marantz 2240B Vintage Solid State Stereo Receiver

This is a striking Marantz 2240B solid state stereo receiver perfect for a startup system or a second room.

The wonderful thing about receivers from this era is that they include a true phono input to connect a turntable.  Modern receivers often have an input labeled phono, but require additional hardware to make it work.

We particularly like the signal strength and centering meters for the tuner and brightly lit tuner dial, likely from a custom LED lamp upgrade.  The horizontal tuning wheel is also unusual and very satisfying.

Cosmetic condition is good with only a few light scuffs here and there.  The vinyl faux wood wrap is in pretty nice shape since it's often the first to go.  This shows that this unit was well cared for.

Functionally it is perfect - all dials, meters, and controls work as they should, and have been serviced for many more years of great performance.

While these units are not uncommon, you're not likely to find one in this condition that has been serviced and cared for.
