Klipsch La Scala AL6 Heritage Series Speakers In Custom White Oak Finish

While the three finishes offered for the La Scala are super sweet, we've seen a demand for a lighter wood finish. We had this set custom made for a good client and were so pleased with the results that we thought we'd share with other potential clients.  

The finish is a White Oak veneer carefully selected and matched from the left to the right speaker. Even the grain follows the cabinet from one surface to the next.  

The grills are a perfectly matching soft lambswool fabric which adds a touch of vintage to the mix. A huge improvement over the stock material.  

Klipsch carefully tests the custom veneers for durability so you can enjoy them for generations without cracking, fading, or wrinkling.  

Lead time for this finish is about 6-8 weeks and has a modest up-charge considering it's a custom finish.

3” COMPRESSION DRIVER PUMPS UP THE POWER
Our new, mid-range K1133 compression driver adds a full inch to the drivers on previous AL5 models. The larger compression area increases sound pressure to the horn’s throat for more voluptuous volume.

SPREAD THE SOUNDSTAGE WITH MUMPS AND TRACTRIX TECHNOLOGY
The AL6 gets the Tractrix treatment. The new K-406M patented Tractrix mid-range horn features a shorter, 2” throat for unparalleled presence and precision. Mumps technology improves coverage, adding small contours to help maintain frequency response to the horn’s edge.

BRING OUT THE BASS
For the first time, La Scala upgrades to a patented horn loaded, vented system, maximizing efficiency, extending output, and lowering distortion – realizing the benefits of both a horn-loaded system and a bass reflex system. The K-281 12” woofer with folded horn, sits comfortably in a new enclosure, producing richer and more robust bass from any room placement.

OPTIONAL DSP FOR EVEN BETTER BALANCE
The AL6 is available with an optional Heritage Active DSP tuned specifically for La Scala speakers. Trickle-down technology from our heralded Jubilee floorstanding speakers, the Heritage Active DSP aligns time and phase while boosting frequencies and balancing EQ for a flat, color-free response.

EXPANDED I/O FOR ACTIVE & PASSIVE SETUPS
To accommodate the Heritage Active DSP and give listeners more options, we’ve modified the I/O panel. It now includes passive and active inputs and a passive output, so switching setups is easy. We’ve also moved the panel to the speaker’s back for a cleaner look from almost any angle.

DESIGNED AND MADE IN THE USA
As the only speaker in the world to be in continuous production for over 70 years, the Klipschorn has remained relatively unchanged since its inception. The Klipschorn enclosure is still made in the USA, by proud craftsmen in Hope, Arkansas. Just like Paul W. Klipsch intended.
