OPTIONAL ACTIVE CROSSOVER FOR EVEN BETTER BALANCE
The AK7 was meticulously engineered with an optional Heritage Active Crossover in mind, which has been tuned specifically for Klipschorn speakers by master acoustician and PWK protégé Roy Delgado. Trickle-down technology from our heralded Jubilee floorstanding speakers, the Heritage Active Crossover aligns time and phase while boosting frequencies and balancing EQ for a flat, color-free response.

EXPANDED I/O FOR ACTIVE & PASSIVE SETUPS
To accommodate the Heritage Active Crossover and provide the audience with more options, we’ve modified the I/O panel. It now includes passive and active inputs and a passive output, so switching between setups is easy. We’ve also moved the panel to the speaker’s back for a cleaner look from almost any angle.

THREE-WAY, HORN-LOADED EFFICIENCY
The Klipschorn’s three-way, horn-loaded system makes it more efficient than the average loudspeaker. For the AK7, we couple each driver to a precisely measured horn and optimize it for one of three pass-bands. This design generates greater acoustic power with less wattage, producing crystal clear sound with minimal distortion across the frequency spectrum.

WIDE-DISPERSION PHASE PLUG FOR HEAVENLY HIGHS
We’ve paired our K-771 compression driver with a patented wide-dispersion phase plug to prevent cancellations and equalize wavelengths for broader width of sound. That means you get more coverage and clarity than ever before.

3” COMPRESSION DRIVER PUMPS UP THE POWER
The new mid-range K-1133 compression driver adds a full inch to the drivers on previous AK6 models. The larger compression area allows the driver to work less while increasing sound pressure to the horn’s throat, resulting in more output with more efficiency.

SPREAD THE SOUNDSTAGE WITH MUMPS AND TRACTRIX TECHNOLOGY
The AK7 gets the Tractrix treatment. The new K-406M patented Tractrix mid-range horn features a shorter, 2” throat for unparalleled presence and precision. Mumps technology improves coverage, adding small contours to help maintain frequency response to the horn’s edge.

BRING OUT THE BASS
A horn-loaded, vented system brings the Klipschorn out of the corner for good. The redesigned K-33-E 15” woofer with folded horn sits comfortably in a new enclosure, producing richer and more robust bass in any position.

DESIGNED AND MADE IN THE USA
As the only speaker in the world to be in continuous production for over 70 years, the Klipschorn has remained relatively unchanged since its inception. The Klipschorn enclosure is still made in the USA, by proud craftsmen in Hope, Arkansas. Just like Paul W. Klipsch intended.

Tuned by legendary acoustician Roy Delgado, this advanced crossover builds upon innovations from the acclaimed Klipsch Jubilee, delivering unparalleled time and phase alignment, balanced EQ, and true-to-source response.

TWO MODELS, OPTIMIZED FOR KLIPSCHORN AK7 & LA SCALA AL6
The Heritage Active Crossover is available in two distinct versions, each custom-tuned for Klipschorn AK7 and La Scala AL6 loudspeakers. Both versions use advanced DSP technology to precisely manage crossover points, ensuring a seamless transition between frequency bands while preserving the power, detail, and realism these speakers are known for.

SUPERIOR BALANCE & CUSTOMIZATION
The Heritage Active Crossover offers user-adjustable Low-Frequency (LF) and High-Frequency (HF) gain controls, allowing listeners to fine-tune the system. This ensures optimal performance across different audio setups, enhancing clarity and tonal accuracy without introducing coloration.

SYNCHRONIZED SOUND
Using signal processing technology, the Heritage Active DSP analyzes the crossover and adjusts for horn throat depth and wavelength, delaying the signal to specific speakers to ensure that all sound arrives simultaneously at the listener’s ears.
