A wonderful British classic, fully restored. If you are not very familiar with this model be sure to look at the Wikipedia page that describes them in detail.
These speakers came to us from a famous local speaker designer who used them in his laboratory to test equipment and develop crossover networks. While the drivers and cabinets were in very good shape the crossovers were removed.
We were lucky enough to locate New Old Stock KEF crossovers which were a perfect match and fit. The new owner will benefit from having brand new and accurate crossovers installed for another 50 years of reliable operation.
KEF drivers were fully tested and were found to be working perfectly. The speakers also received very high-end carbon fiber speaker terminals so you can utilize modern banana, spades, or bare wire (unlike the original vintage terminals). New silicone super high-quality wiring was used internally.
The cabinets are very nice and are finished in a hand rubbed oil. I don’t have the grills but I love how these look with the drivers exposed so I haven’t looked too hard for them.
If you’ve never owned a pair of these speakers you owe it to yourself to do so as every audiophile should experience these at some point (my humble opinion).
While these sport all the glorious vintage parts that make them special, they have been modernized a bit for even better performance and convenience.
