All Classé preamplifiers share elements of a single unique design. We begin with an exceptionally quiet, shielded toroid transformer designed to minimize magnetic hum fields. The ultra stable output is then fed into several stages of voltage regulation. As in our power amplifiers, we use numerous small, high quality capacitors for the voltage filtering stages. Microphonics has been a problem that has plagued designers since the beginning of recorded sound. Our circuit boards and components layouts are meticulously designed to eliminated all microphonic effects, and employ state-of-the-art discrete circuitry.

The CP-47.5 is fully remote controllable, you may remain seated in you favorite chair and change not only the volume and balance but also switch from one source to another. An optional phono stage, of exceptional quality, and which features both MM & MC capability, is also available.

The CP-47.5 has the typical beautiful contoured Classé, slim line chassis and special Classé front panel in Black fascia. Inputs include REG1 through REG4 (REG1 becomes phono input with optional phono stage), BAL1 and BAL2 inputs. Balanced 1 and REG1 and REG2 outputs. Remote control features: VOLUME, BALANCE, DIRECT ACCESS INPUT SELECTOR, TAPE, DISPLAY and MUTE. Infrared (IR) input and output ports are also available, for remote control daisy chaining.
