Accuphase T-106 Digital AM-FM Stereo Tuner

$0

From a 1985 New York Times Review:

"Even among top-echelon tuners, the new Accuphase T-106 finds few rivals. It is a digital design - i.e., the tuning frequencies are synthetized by means of digital, quartz-controlled circuits for utmost tuning accuracy. Yet unlike most such models, the Accuphase features a conventional tuning knob (in addition to seven single- touch station presets) rather than the scan controls currently in vogue. You just twirl the knob to run up and down the scale, just as you used to do in predigital days. Many listeners, especially those accustomed to knob-twiddling, will find this more congenial. This kind of tuning action seems more naturally related to the sense of touch and the motion of the hand - a nice example of what is known as ''human engineering.''"
