Here is something very special that recently came into the shop.

A never used, NOS (New Old Stock), Technics SL-1000MKII turntable system later known as the SL-1000MK2.

It's rare to find these at all, let alone new old stock!

This turntable comes with all of its original parts:
• SP-10MKII Direct-Drive Unit
• SH-10E Power Supply
• SH-10B3 Obsidian Plinth
• EPA-100 Tonearm
• Two Armboards (one pre-drilled and one-blank)
• Booklets and Manuals
• Original Dust Cover
• Wired Remote Control!

The Technics SP-10 drive was one of the first ever direct-drive turntables.

Designed for use in demanding radio station playback environments, the drive is incredibly robust and starts and stops incredibly fast. 

Being the flagship in Technics lineup, the SP-10MKII drive (later known as SP-10MK2) features the best in direct-drive technology. Simply having an external motor power supply alone is an excellent upgrade over most 'tables. This allows for higher-quality designs and parts to be utilized overall.

Please Note: This turntable was never powered up or tested as it is a collectors item.

However if you'd like us to test and prepare it for regular use, we can. We can also mount and calibrate a cartridge of your choice so please just contact us to review.

SkyFi Cosmetic Notes:
No signs of wear on the unit. Box shows its age. Overall excellent.  The plinth shows slight rub marks from box movement over several decades.
