Tannoy 15" Red Vintage Speakers In Custom Cabinets
The concentric Tannoy Red drivers are likely the most desirable and collectible vintage speaker, especially in the 15" size. If you have not heard them you should try and find a local set to audition. You'll be amazed at the delicate, precise, and engaging sound they are capable of, rivaling anything made today.
These drivers were installed in a properly built, furniture grade cabinet made for 15" reds. Crossovers were custom built to get the most out of the woofers and tweeters, and high-quality materials like Kimber Kable internal cabling were used throughout.
Cabinet condition is superb with slight signs of use. The cones and driver structures are perfect, however one of the dustcaps shows wrinkling which we chose not to touch due to the rarity of the orange dust caps and does not affect performance.
Over the past 96 years, Tannoy has been the undisputed leader in loudspeaker design and audio quality.

The SkyFi Testing Process for Speakers:
Our speaker evaluation process starts with a visual inspection of all drivers. We are looking for damaged or deteriorating woofer surrounds, dented tweeter domes, and cone damage. We also inspect the speaker connection points for loose or broken connectors.
After the initial visual inspection we connect the speakers to a reference amplifier with our preferred test tracks. With the speakers placed with proper distance we listen to each driver to make sure that they are producing the intended frequencies with no signs of distortion or rattle. During listening tests with test tracks we check for proper stereo imaging and bass response at various listening levels. If there are any audible signs of issues, the speakers are taken to the bench where we perform a frequency sweep to isolate the issue so that it can be resolved by component repair or replacement.
