Another first-ever SkyFi listing, this is an incredible and complete Technics rack system hailing from the glory days of 1970's HiFi.

The Technics professional series features some of their best components of the era, also known as the "Flat Series". This wasn't a formally named product line, rather a designation for the higher-performing gear. Especially specific preamplifiers and power amplifiers known for their ultra-performance capabilities and 19-inch rack-mountable design.

The best part of this system for us are the THREE included tape decks. The RS-1500US is one of our favorite reel to reel decks with the ability to record 1/2 track at 15 IPS, while also offering playback at both 1/4 track and 1/2 track. This is super useful for audiophiles. 

Another cool addition to this system is the SH-905ST Elcaset deck. These are super rare, do not come up for sale often, and this the only model Elcasaet deck Technics ever made. 

"The Elcaset system was intended to marry the performance of reel-to-reel with cassette convenience, but be more of a compromise on size between the two than the RCA cassette is. The name "Elcaset" may simply mean L-cassette, or large cassette, since the 1⁄4" tape inside is double the 1⁄8" width found in compact cassettes.

The M65 cassette deck is also worth mentioning as it's well-built and features a direct-drive capstan. 

As a plus, we populated/terminated all new custom length RCA cables out back so the entire system would look as neat as possible along with high-quality connections.

Included with this complete rack system is an FM antenna, a blank Sony Elcaset tape we purchased that was sold to us as New Old Stock (NOS) in order to test this deck, two Maxell take-up reels, a spare rack mount plate (blank), and the reprinted owners manuals for all components within the rack.

In the pictures we have a Technics SL-1200MK7 at the top which is not included in the listed price but optional to add upon completion of purchase. This 'table would be a great addition for adding vinyl playback capability to this amazing system.

SkyFi Cosmetic Notes:
Some light signs of wear on the components in the form of scratches and marks. Overall it is in fantastic condition and well preserved.

SkyFi Technical Notes:
M65: Light service, cleaned heads, confirmed no caps in need of replacement. All belts in good condition as this unit was serviced prior by others. Recording good.

SH-9020 Calibrated regulated voltages, calibrated meters in all ranges, checked 8 ohm connection with amplifier and verified relative accuracy. Lamps all work.

ST-9030: Aligned on the tuner bench. Adjusted dial tracking, distortion, and MPX.

SH-9010: Cleaned all controls and faders, re-tested, All functions work with excellent channel tracking.

SE-9060: Cleaned unit inside and out and tested to 80W into 8 ohms with no issues presenting on the tech bench or listening area.
