General:
The Taylor Grand Symphony (GS) was born from Bob listening to players' shouts for a similar guitar to the GA, but with more volume.

From the waist up, it's the same size as a Grand Auditorium. However, the GS has a bigger lower bout, giving it a richer, more piano-like bass response and thicker treble frequencies.

This Taylor Mahogany GS-LTD Fall Limited Edition was was built in 2011 - and is one of the finest Taylor acoustics to date. This one is in MINT condition, looks new, plays new, and even SMELLS new.

The action is nice and low, the neck is straight with nice comfortable relief that lets chords and single notes ring loud. The instrument carries a much deeper, louder tone than many of the Taylor models.

The guitar is perfect playing shape, the electronics function 100% with no flaws, and there is no fret-wear to speak of.

Guitar comes in original case and looks brand new. It is straight and true and has no issues whatsoever. The previous owner took meticulous care of his equipment and this was one of many pieces which was lightly used.

The original hardshell case in included.

The Hawaiian KOA GS-LTD is a part of the GS series from Taylor's Fall 2011 Limited Edition lineup. It comes with the standard grand symphony body with single cutaway. It is available with high gloss finish. This is complemented with gold-plated Gotoh tuners and ebony binding.

Back, top, and side panels of the body are made of KOA. Top panel features no pickguard. Sound hole is equipped with an ornate rosette. Bridge section features a standard ebony-made bridge and electronics area is occupied by Taylor's own Expression system electronics.

Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it is attached to the body with a dovetail joint. Fingerboard is made of ebony and it features 20 frets with custom inlays.

This unit has a serial number of 1109221147 meaning it was produced in 2011.

Our current 10-digit serial numbering format that started in November of 2009 identifies where the guitar was built, the start date, and the assigned number of the guitar on that day's production schedule.

For example, the serial number for the first guitar built in the El Cajon (USA) factory on July 6, 2014 is 1107064001. See the explanation below:

• First digit indicates where it was made. (1 = El Cajon, California, USA; 2 = Tecate, Baja California, Mexico)
• 2nd & 7th digits indicate the two-digit year - '14 (2014)
• 3rd & 4th digits indicate the two-digit month - 07 (July)
• 5th & 6th digits indicate the day - 06 (the 6th)
• Last three numbers indicate the guitar's position in that day's production sequence.
