General:
The SAEC WE-8003S Female DIN to RCA phono cable is a very cool, transparent-jacket phono cable. Made in Japan by SAEC, the transparent outer jacket reveals the braided shield underneath, giving it a neat futuristic look.

When new, these were often bundled as an original accessory with vintage SAEC tonearms like the WE-317, but they remain a fantastic upgrade for any vintage tonearm utilizing a male DIN output.

Tested and working very well in our shop. Comes from a smoke free home.

Testing Process:
Cables are generally pretty simple and do not require a great deal of testing. We do however perform a visual inspection of all of the connectors for damage or significant wear.

Most power and interconnect cables can be verified with a simple continuity test with a digital multimeter.

Some cables feature dielectric bias systems which are powered by external power supplies or batteries. These devices are checked for proper function where applicable.

We do not perform A/B comparisons of cables in real world conditions, and cannot offer objective observations in this regard.
