I haven't seen an Audio Research DAC5 come up for sale in the USA for a few years now.

Must be because most audiophiles don't have much of a reason to replace them.

Sure, if you're into super High-Res or PC audio this is not the right tool for the job, but if Redbook CD is your thing this should be on your short list for a DAC under $2,500.
