Rare and amazing speakers from Apogee. 

I have not been able to find another single set for sale and I know there are plenty of fans out there for this model, especially the Signature version.  

This is the only speaker to sound better than the Martin Logan CLS’s that have been our reference speakers for some time. They are just as much or even a bit more articulate, holographic and revealing.  The added plus is that they have more bass and slam than the CLS’s which has always been their shortfall.  

The speakers have been tested in our lab and our listening room for some time and are performing absolutely perfectly.  All drivers are distortion free and precise.  There are no rattles or issues anywhere in the frequency range.  They were tested with a sweep frequency generator from top to bottom which will always reveal any issues with the drivers.

This is not an easy load to drive and they will require a stable 200w amp to make them sing.  It’s a purely resistive load so there are plenty of amps out there capable of this feat. We had great success with Krell and Mark Levinson electronics.  I suppose the Audio Research tube monoblocks we have on hand will also get the job done and will be testing this combo soon.  

Condition is great with no visible signs of wear or tear.  The grills are near perfect and the paint is consistent and scratch free.  

These are very heavy speakers mostly because of their internal steel frame and plentiful use of magnets.
