This Sota classic turntable is finished in a light oak wood which exhibits a nice looking vintage patina.
The tonearm is a wonderful Signet XK35, low-mass, which is a great upgrade over the typical Sumiko tonearm we usually see on these.
Upon arrival from the original owner who took great care of it since the 1980's, we lubricated the necessary bits, fitted the new Sumiko Amethyst MM (Moving-Coil) cartridge, serviced the controls, and did a thorough speed check.
We're pleased to report it's working wonderfully throughout.
The dust cover has typical light scratches and swirls but is overall very presentable.
While we chose the Sumiko Amethyst as a great performance to price ratio for this turntable, you can certainly upgrade to a different model from the options listed below, or even provide your own for an official SkyFi 11-Step calibration.
