Demo Appointments

You're welcome to call or text (201) 879-0000, or use the contact form below if there's an item you'd like to see and hear in operation before or after purchase.

We can also arrange to install, calibrate, and tune the gear in your own listening room if you're local to the area. This is really useful when purchasing large speakers or heavy amplifiers, and great for ensuring that your new turntable is setup correctly in its final resting place.

Shipping

All items ship free to the contiguous 48 states. We do not ship outside of the USA internationally.

We typically ship items on the next business day, but occasionally we need extra time to re-test equipment, or to properly package complex items. Hollidays and travel may also cause delays.

Our Warranty

At SkyFi we sell new, pre-owned, and vintage equipment, and a lot of effort goes into making sure that our items leave our shop in the absolute best condition possible.

We test every feature and function in our specialized lab designed by an engineer with 30+ years of experience in the HiFi world. Our pieces also spend time in our reference listening room, getting a real-world workout. If quality does not meet or exceed manufacturer basic specifications, it simply will not be sold.

Most issues upon arrival can be resolved with a quick phone call.  We know this stuff really well, and are very good at identifying what may be causing your issue and quickly resolving it.  From noisy ground loops to an intermittent connection, we can help, so please do not hesitate to call.

99% of our shipments arrive in working order and our clients are satisfied. Just have a look at our feedback!

Please see more about the remaining 1% outlined in detail here

Return Policy / Restocking Fee

We cannot accept returns on vintage equipment unless it was misrepresented or does not function as described. We will promptly repair and return any non-functioning items at our expense.

New item returns are subject to a restocking fee. Please see more about our Restocking Fee Policy here.

$0 Items

If an item shows $0, that means it has sold out and is no longer available.

Technical FAQs

What is the best speaker for a large living room?
For a large living room, we recommend the McIntosh ML1 Loudspeaker MKII for its refined sound quality. If you prefer a more dynamic experience, the Klipsch Cornwall is an excellent choice. Both speakers will fill your space beautifully, but your personal sound preference will guide the best choice.

What turntable should I buy for vintage tapes?
To play back vintage tapes, consider a high-quality reel-to-reel tape player. We have several options available in our store that cater to different budgets and playback needs. If you have specific requirements, feel free to ask for recommendations based on your tape condition and playback goals.

Can I use a separate DAC with my streamer?
Yes, using a separate DAC, like the HiFi Rose RD160, with your RS150b streamer can significantly enhance sound quality. The RD160 features advanced technology and power supplies that improve audio performance, making it a worthwhile upgrade for audiophiles seeking the best sound experience.

What is the difference between MM and MC cartridges?
MM (Moving Magnet) cartridges are generally more affordable and easier to maintain, while MC (Moving Coil) cartridges offer superior sound quality and detail. The choice depends on your budget and sound preferences. If you need help selecting the right cartridge for your turntable, we can assist you!

What are the benefits of high-end audio equipment?
High-end audio equipment provides superior sound quality, clarity, and detail, allowing you to experience music as intended by the artists. It often features advanced technology, better materials, and craftsmanship, resulting in a more immersive listening experience. Investing in quality gear can elevate your entire audio setup.

How do I choose the right amplifier for my speakers?
Choosing the right amplifier depends on your speakers' power requirements and your listening preferences. Consider the wattage, impedance, and features of the amplifier. We can help you find the perfect match for your speakers to ensure optimal performance and sound quality in your audio system.
