We chose this model specifically for the Technics line of turntables for its weight, fit, and appearance. Yes it will certainly work with other tables, even some belt-driven.

Our in-depth testing determined no effect on speed or accuracy, which was not surprising considering how much torque Technics direct-drive 'tables have. Weight is high enough to help press a slightly wrapped record flat.  

We also consulted with the engineers at Technics as to what the correct target weight would be and this is spot on. 

Drops into place with no effort and provides a snug fit with no wobble or play. 

Lacquered protective matte finish ensures it will not tarnish and will always look clean. 

Weights in at 750g which is 1.65 lbs.
