Safeguard your premium home audio system with the MIP200 Power Controller, a sophisticated solution for protecting your audio investment from unexpected electrical issues. Ensure that your cherished audio components remain unscathed by power disturbances such as surges from a lightning strike, overvoltage incidents, and brownouts.
The MIP200 provides superior AC power protection with advanced line-to-neutral protection, utilizing a thermally protected metal-oxide varistor (TPMOV) to eliminate the common failure modes found in standard MOVs. In addition to surge protection, the MIP200 offers electromagnetic interference (EMI) filtering and programmable over/under voltage protection. This sophisticated protection system automatically switches off the outlets when unsafe voltage levels are detected and turns them back on only when the voltage is restored to safe operating levels.
Designed to accommodate various global power standards, the MIP200 is available with 4 Type B1 (NEMA 5-15R) outlets with 2 receptacles each. An always-on, unswitched outlet ensures continuous power to critical components, while the remaining outlets can be managed via the front panel, remote operation through the rear panel Power Control or RS232 ports, or configured as additional always-on outlets. Programmable delays for each outlet minimize inrush current, ensuring a safe startup for all connected devices and reducing the risk of tripping a circuit breaker.
The MIP200 is designed for seamless integration into custom install home theater or whole-home audio systems. Its 2U rack-mountable form factor ensures easy installation, making it a perfect fit for any high-end audio setup. This design not only saves valuable space but also allows for a clean, organized system layout, enhancing both functionality and aesthetics. This thoughtful design perfectly complements our range of custom install amplifiers (MI502, MI254, MI347, MI128, and MI1250) and A/V processors (MHT300 and MX200), offering both functionality and aesthetic appeal.
The MIP200's front panel AC line monitor provides real-time data on input voltage, current draw, and total apparent power, offering peace of mind and precision control. Encased in the iconic McIntosh black glass front panel with aluminum trim, illuminated logo, and aluminum control knobs, the MIP200 exudes luxury and sophistication.
