Super innovative speaker design from Ilumnia in Belgium. 

Featuring a unique, super fast dynamic driver which provides virtually no resistance as it lacks a suspension surround or spider cone which is always a compromise in speaker design.

The result is a superbly linear and responsive driver which is notable for several reasons, not least of which it’s ability to move “air”. We’ve never heard another speaker move air like this one does.

In addition, the omni-directional design also enables world class staging and imaging. 

The outboard power supply allows the user to change the suspension stiffness to the desired value. It’s like a control to change the damping factor, depending on whether you’re using a solid state or tube amp.  Now that’s unique!

Controls on the rear of each speaker also allow you to dial in just the right amount of meds, lows and highs.

Our LEMS driver is not an evolution of the electrodynamic driver. It can be called a revolution.

It has 99.7% linear behaviour and has no compression at all which gives it a perfect dynamic response. 

Mechanical resistance of the cone is nulled so there is no absorbtion of music signal, even not the tiniest one. Therefore the smallest detail can be heard. 

The driver is ultra fast and this quality combined with it's linearity results in very high resolving power of complex music. 

The ultra low levels of distortion will guarantee hours of listening pleasure without any listening fatigue. 

We can easily say this driver comes close to perfection. 

The Magister has been designed as a whole. We did not buy individual components and put them together. Everything was designed to match with each other in order to reach optimal synergy between components.  

Therefore our filter could be reduced to a minimum and the music signal is kept uncompromised.  

Possibility to adjust mid-high (midbass driver) and high (tweeter) energy according to room acoustics.  

Integrated epdm damping rings for a soft stop of the cone at the end of it's maximum excursion. 

Crossover frequency is raised to 9.5Khz instead of 5.5Khz (MKI version) to use max. potentional of the LEMS driver. This results in more perceptional energy at higher octaves yet without being harsh.

The SkyFi Testing Process for Speakers:
Our speaker evaluation process starts with a visual inspection of all drivers. We are looking for damaged or deteriorating woofer surrounds, dented tweeter domes, and cone damage. We also inspect the speaker connection points for loose or broken connectors.

After the initial visual inspection we connect the speakers to a reference amplifier with our preferred test tracks. With the speakers placed with proper distance we listen to each driver to make sure that they are producing the intended frequencies with no signs of distortion or rattle. During listening tests with test tracks we check for proper stereo imaging and bass response at various listening levels. If there are any audible signs of issues, the speakers are taken to the bench where we perform a frequency sweep to isolate the issue so that it can be resolved by component repair or replacement.
