Truly understated looks for such a high quality piece of audio equipment, yet still there's a solid feeling of power underneath.
According to Auralic, it was designed to "power perfectly every single dynamic headphone on the market including the notorious HifiMan HE6."
The elegantly simple front panel control layout contains a sizable and round (almost like a ball) volume control, along with very straightforward output and input selector push switches.
But then there are two headphone jack inputs - a standard 1/4" input and a 4-pin balanced input. That's when you know it's serious!
Around back there is a single set of balanced XLR inputs and outputs, as well as a single set of unbalanced single-ended (RCA) inputs and outputs. The power cord is detachable so you can use any high-end model you like from AudioQuest, Nordost, Cardas, etc. We currently have some available for purchase, simply click here to see several options.

Check out this 6moon.com review for pictures of the internals to show you how series the design was behind this headphone amplifier/preamplifier.
Here's a snippet:
"The Taurus makes from 1 watt into 600Ω to 4.5 watts into 32Ω. Fully balanced, it sports RCA + XLR i/o ports selectable on the fly. The outputs parallel as headphone jacks and line level. The RCA/XLR paths may be crossed. Entering one way and exiting the other is legit. The design's potted Orfeo modules were inspired by Rupert Neve's classic analog mixing console. "The principle is to pack a mass of small signal parts with the most linear characteristics through a thermal balancing procedure, then bias the output transistors into high class A for open loop distortion below 0.001% to share the same warm and natural sound with the Neve 8078."
