The largest and most sought after speaker from Altec Lancing produced for studio or home use.

In beautiful preserved condition, and coming to you from a trusted source. The date code stamped on the woofers indicate they were produced in November of 1966.

The Magnificent were essentially Voice of the Theater A7 speakers, but housed in a gorgeous walnut cabinet meant for studio or residential use.

Each contain their original and genuine 416A 15" Woofers, 802D Drivers, 511B Horns, with N500E Crossovers.

All in perfect operational condition, fully tested in our lab and in our listening room, where we ran a full frequency sweep signal to check for any sort of distortion or coloration and found none.

We also auditioned them with our $250k Jadis reference system and found them to be delightful, able to reproduce with ease the full 30hz to 20khz range.

The cabinets show some age, but are overall very presentable from any angle except upon very close Inspection. They show a deep and well cared for rich patina, and therefore look vintage without looking worn. There is a piece of trim on the right side which we should have back in place soon. Most importantly is the condition of the delicate wood carved grills, where most of these speakers fail. We are pleased to report that these are in the best condition we have ever seen, with no cracks or dents of any noticeable sort.

We've watched most of these speakers go overseas to collections in Asian markets, or to trendy restaurants here in NYC and LA. We expect these will do the same.
