The Model 8 from Aerial Acoustics is a full range speaker capable of filling a mid to large size room with great natural and articulate sound. Made right here in the USA in New England (Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts).

This is a full range speaker thanks to the 10.7" side firing woofers. The rest of the duties are handled by a unique 1" titanium felt surround tweeter and a. 7.1" paper/composite midrange.

The speaker will present a moderate load to an amplifier requiring at least 50W, but better suited for 100W if you want to get the most from them.

These were produced in the early 2000's and retailed for close to $6K.

The gorgeous cherry finish is super clean with no noticeable signs of stress, discoloration, or damage. It's clear they were well cared for by the original owner in NY who just upgraded to a set of uber expensive Sonus Faber speakers.

Every driver is absolutely perfect and they were tested in our listening room where they impressed every one of us here. Particularly with the Pink Floyd station we asked Tidal Hi-Res to play featuring amazing clarity, space, and musicality on tracks we know super well.

Included with your purchase are both grills, plus speaker terminal jumpers so you can choose between single and bi-wire.

The SkyFi Testing Process for Speakers:

Our speaker evaluation process starts with a visual inspection of all drivers. We are looking for damaged or deteriorating woofer surrounds, dented tweeter domes, and cone damage. We also inspect the speaker connection points for loose or broken connectors.

After the initial visual inspection we connect the speakers to a reference amplifier with our preferred test tracks. With the speakers placed with proper distance we listen to each driver to make sure that they are producing the intended frequencies with no signs of distortion or rattle. During listening tests with test tracks we check for proper stereo imaging and bass response at various listening levels. If there are any audible signs of issues, the speakers are taken to the bench where we perform a frequency sweep to isolate the issue so that it can be resolved by component repair or replacement.
