Our Beautiful Bang & Olufsen System of the Week

Our Beautiful Bang & Olufsen System of the Week

Our latest System of the Week is a mix of modern and vintage from B&O (Bang & Olufsen).

The receiver is a very famous vintage and fully restored Beomaster 1900 produced in the late 1970's, and was one of their most successful in terms of actual sales. It also had touch-sensitive controls - way back then!

This pre-LED unit contains incandescent light bulbs and red transparent plastic to simulate LED's, and under the aluminum panel there are sliders for tone controls and other common functions. Radio presets were accomplished by utilizing no less than FOUR discrete FM tuners (full specifications follow the photos below).

This piece of B&O history was painstakingly refurbished to perfection at SkyFi.

The speakers are the gorgeous BeoLab 6000 active/powered speakers, forged from a single piece of aluminum and featured in the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.

"The choice is simple - you can fill your home with big black boxes, or you can make a stand with BeoLab 6000 and fill it with beautiful sound and beautiful looks."
