This highly regarded player came to use with a common failure from this era - a simple failure of the belt that operates the drawer.

They tend to dry out and stretch over a period of many years regardless of the amount of operation.

We installed a new belt and voila, this is ready to please for another 10 years or more. The belts we use are better than the ones from the factory.

While we were in there, we also cleaned the laser lens and lubricated the necessary moving parts.

We did notice the amazing attention to quality - the unique parts selection including the DAC modules with built in status LED's, and the amount of dampening attached to the chassis.

Also features balanced analog XLR outputs PLUS a digital AES/EBU (XLR) output, in addition to standard single-ended RCA analog outputs plus TOSLINK optical and coaxial digital.

Only the best of the best (and most expensive) players from this era had balanced analog XLR outputs, and digital AES/EBU was usually reserved for professional/studio or the best of the best for consumer use.

This piece is now operating flawlessly, and the drive mechanism provides super quick and responsive access to all tracks on the CD without skipping or errors.

This is a super rare piece and at the time of writing I could not find another for sale anywhere.
